Course Description: This course uses a "learn as you build" approach towards teaching the basic principles of computation. Students delve right into building multi-media applications using graphics, images, sound and animation; they learn to program as they put together the building blocks for media applications. Students learn to use Python, a simple, object-oriented scripting language which offers several packages for building multi-media and web applications. The instruction includes both lectures in the class room and demo/work sessions in the lab.
