An early attempt to use computers in the humanities generated all writings of St. Ignatius (founder of the Jesuit order)
in a proprietary ASCI similar format. The first part of this project consists in electronically converting all the letters
into a more reasonable file format (such as standard ASCII), so that they become readable with standard tools. The second
and more important part of the project consists in writing an interface that displays these letters in standard ASCII or
unicode format and allows queries. One such mode would use active web pages.
