Time Line Tool
The inspiration of this project comes from an Assistant City Attorney in Arizona. He was looking for a freeware tool that allows him to outline investigative activities (and possibly reconstructed behavior of people investigated in a crime.) He needs it both for court room presentation and for the organization of his work. He outlines his needs as follows:

I would want a tool that could accept manual entries of times.

In manual entry, I could just type in the event name (witiness interview) and the time. Pressing enter would add it to the line representing time. I would have a range of graphics to associate with each time event. In this example, I would want an icon of one person talking to another (an interview).

The graphical output would be very attractive and appealing because it would be seen by juries and me, as a prosecutor, would be depending on it to help prove my case.

While the project is largely student defined, it has to fulfill the highest standard for reliability and ease of use.
